Every container crossing the gate is logged as a card in “Entry” with the container number, carrier and owner details, and entry time. It moves to “Unloading” if scheduled for stripping, where equipment operators document its contents, condition, and any visible damage, then to “Storage”, where its yard location is set and recorded on the card along with the date storage billing begins.

When the owner requests release, the card moves to “Delivery” with the exit appointment and the receiving party and hauling vehicle details, then to “Fees”, where total storage charges are computed by length of stay plus handling and equipment fees, and closed once paid. Periodically, yard occupancy, gate movements, and containers exceeding the free period are summarized in a “Report” the zone operator relies on for pricing and planning.

Chat coordinates the yard supervisor with equipment operators in real time: a crane needed at a specific spot, a container blocking a lane that must be moved, a carrier arriving early. Dues records storage and handling fees owed by each owner and amounts collected, plus equipment operating and maintenance costs — keeping every customer's account precise and private, with no uncollected fees piling up without management's knowledge.
